ing.grid is proud to announce that we had one more successful open peer review process completed through our preprint platform. This led to the publication of the manuscript "Agile Research Data Management with Open Source: LinkAhead", available at https://doi.org/10.48694/inggrid.3866 . This is the second publication from our 2022 NFDI4Ing Conference Special Issue.

The authors Daniel Hornung, Florian Spreckelsen and Thomas Weiß, departing from the idea that there is a shortage of appropriate tools to fullfil the specific requirements for Research Data Management in scientific research, presented an analysis of currently available technologies and tool categories for matching these requirements and presented an assessment for an open-source research data management system, called LinkAhead.

We congratulate the authors and thank the topical editor, Christian Stemmer, and the reviewers Torsten Bronger and Marius Politze for their valuable efforts.
