Posted by Izadora Silva Pimenta on 2023-11-06

On the 25th and 26th of September, ing.grid participated in the two-day workshop "Data Stewardship Goes Germany", held at the Open Science Lab of the Saxon State and University Library (SLUB) in Dresden, Germany.

Our Managing Editor, Izadora Silva Pimenta, presented a poster discussing how ing.grid employs the FAIR principles for quality assessment in dataset publications. The objective was to contribute to the discourse on innovative approaches to processing and publishing research data. Consequently, the poster also dealed with a paradigm shift in the publication and reusability of research data, addressing a challenge highlighted in the journal.

Throughout the workshop, there was considerable interest from participants in understanding the journal's functionalities and its commitment to addressing FAIR principles in open peer review, ensuring material reusability, and providing scientific credit for the effort. Additionally, there were opportunities for interdisciplinary exchanges with individuals not directly involved in Engineering Sciences but interested in the journal's approach to the subject.

The poster is available on Zenodo
