The second meeting of the editorial board of the journal “ing.grid – FAIR Data Management in Engineering Sciences” took place on July 27, 2022. The members gathered online to discuss three subjects – the current status of the development, aspects of governance structures of ing.grid, as well as a timeline and next steps leading up to the first issue. The current status showed the progress that had been made since the constituting meeting. The section on governance structures consisted of an input and discussion regarding the legal entity of the journal, as well as editor responsibilities and conflict management mechanisms. The timeline illustrated the remaining work still required before the journal can publish its first call for papers.
